as the R35 GT-R is to the LFA. They are both great cars with different target demographics and great characters albeit lacking a third pedal. What's the lesson? No point in comparing them.

The LFA only lacks the third pedal because it would be technically impossible to do so. It's probably the only example of a high performance car not produced between 1985 and 1989 and not powered by a turbocharged 3.8-litre V6 engine which I won't bash for lacking the proper number of pedals, grand tourers notwithstanding.

Very true. I know it would be an impossibility, but I had to put that in there. lol
What car produced between '85 and '92 are you referring to?

'85-'89. Turbo Buicks and the TTA.

Ummm I actually always thought a comparison between a Datsun S30 and a 2000GT was pretty apt considering they were deigned and produced around the same time, had the same drive layout, had the same engine configuration, were similar weight, and very close on power. They make for a good comparison on all fronts, even as they were both billed as GT cars.
Now, the GTR vs LFA is odd. They are very different all around cars.
