Pretty cool feature posted on the always polarizing site the other day, just a bunchof vintage promotional materials re shopped to be... well, trendy.
The rest are here: !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
Regardless of your personal tastes (i find many of these to be as silly as they are beautiful), it raised a question in my mind: what if car manufactures were a bit more liberal in releasing "extreme" factory versions of their common cars? Given the every increasing homogeneity of cars today it seems that really the only "extreme" factory cars are fast expensive versions of cars that are already fast and expensive (say a 911 gt3rs)..
What are some good examples manufactures doing this, and what are some crazy factory options for certain cars that you wish existed?
Some cars I can think of are: most muscle cars, dodge ramchargers (convertible pickup with a 440?), Buick grand nationals, and that weird convertible murano thing Nissan sells..
Something that I wish would have happened is a actual performance engine in a fireo, say a decent small block as was intentionally planned. What if they had offered an off road capable suspension as well? A factory american spaceframe 80's group b style rally car could have been pretty cool.

Hah—it's a good thing they didn't have this awful trend back then!
