Cousin just bought a Land Rover Disco with a 4.0 V8 for $1500. Dead crank position sensor. How screwed is he?

CPS are not that hard to replace, at least on my car. If that is all that is wrong with it and the CPS doesn't cost too much ( http://www.ebay.com/itm/Standard-M… ) he might have gotten a pretty sweet deal. Pics?

Doesn't sound like it's a terribly hard or expensive thing to replace. The new part is $57 and the instructions seem fairly simple (although I'm sure they make it sound much easier than it is.).

Clearly totally screwed. No hope, just needs to give me the V8 and move on.

He plans on fixing it and flipping it, because Discos are going for upwards of 5 grand in the area, so look on the CL if you are in NoCo.
