Let's try text up here to make it expandable.
Gonna put some text here so maybe nibbles won't make this unexpandable.

Probably not much worse than what the average American is able to identify.
I have met multiple people from the east coast that honestly thought I was from Mexico when I told them I live in Tucson.

The "Virginias" had me going for a while. I also lost it when I read Hawaii last.

In a way it's ironic. Some Americans were asked where America was on an atlas and several picked Australia as being the location. There are people in every country from a shallow gene pool.

This is probably the greatest thing I've seen all day.

You could have told me this was done by someone in New York and I would buy it. I'm constantly amused when I travel for work and how few people know where the states are let alone major cities.

Agreed. It's really incredible, especially from those on the coasts in large cities (you know, the "well educated" folks).
CENTRAL STANDARD TIMEZONE FOR LYF, WE KNOW AMERICAN GEOGRAPHY BETTER THAN THE WERST OR LEAST COASTS

I played this game when I was in the US last year. We asked as many people as possible from all the different cities we visited if they'd been to New York. The final number was about 20%.
I no longer shake my head at hearing about 'Mericans not travelling overseas. Y'all need to see your own country first!

First time my family and I went to Hawaii, we told a local what state we were from and her response was "We love Canadians here". We tried convincing her that we're Americans but she wasn't buying it.

This person also admits right on there that they don't know how many states there are in their own home country.
