I'm seriously impressed by the guy, but all I could focus on was the amount of momentum that the wave was carrying, thats a lot of energy at work here.....

Biggest wave I've ever ridden was about 9 ft (we don't get big waves often in NJ) and that scared the living crap out of me. The athleticism of these guys is astounding.

Calgary, its landlocked, so we don't surf(here anyways), we ski and/or snowboard (of which I know neither) but our closest comparison to that stunt would be managing to outride a small avalanche (good luck), athleticism and equilibrium indeed
