Who...does...this?!
This guy in Kuwait put a stock LS1 with a maggie 112 (which is based off the eaton m112, you know, the same blower as the terminator has stock) in a 03 cobra. The car comes with a supercharged DOHC V8 with fully forged internals, and he swaps it out for a pushrod v8 with cast internals. Then he adds a blower, which in its basic form is the same as the blower that the car came with, and puts down LESS power than your average bolt on + pulley terminator does with a 4.6!
On top of all that, he took out the awesome cobra electroluminescent gauge cluster for a custom gauge setup which IMO looks like crap (Do those gauges say auto MOTOR? nice fucking knock off's dude) because the gauge cluster requires a PATS signal to operate, from the PCM that is now probably in the trash.
Mark this one up as totaled..... I feel the need to coyote swap a ZL1 now

That is offensive. The Cobras 4.6 is such a stout power plant that to put a ls whatever in it is just fucking stupid. Now, if it was just some tarted up v6 mustang, I wouldn't give a shit. It is just an affront to how the aluminum DOHC 4.6 performs. If you want massive power, just take the supercharger off and put some fat turbos on it and presto enough horsies to melt all the rubber in the world.

I really need to get one for myself before they are divided into 2 sections. Very clean examples that go for a ton of money, and hacked up shitboxes that all live on the track.

Well if you want to be as sacrilegious as possible this is the way. Not only is it not a Ford engine, but a Japanese one at that :O Still sounds awesome.
But it is an awesome engine. It's kind of like a race engine, but Toyota sticks it in their luxury cars. . . kind of stupid if you ask me. They are also ridiculously cheap.

While I agree the swap is stupid, it's possible the original engine was grenaded or something. It doesn't really say, so maybe they're just idiots like they appear to be.

It took way more work to swap an LS in over another 4.6. He had to swap the PCM out and rewire everything, as well as rewire the gauges since the OEM gauge cluster won't work.
The car looks like a pile of shit, I see some of the side skirt missing. Shame

It's okay, they got more power out of it eventually. 482rwhp with a slipping s/c belt. So it'll go higher when they sort that out.

Unless this car is putting out over 1000rwhp with a giant turbo, its still not worth it.

Its cheaper to get power out of an LSx vs a Modular anywhere in the world, but if he's driving a car that wasn't native to his country, I think he can afford to build the correct motor for the car. Its not like this one came with an essex v6

That was probably just a v6 with the cobra body parts. the fender after the wheel doesn't look right, and if you look at the steering wheel it has just the regular pony on it and no Cobra signification on it. So I feel better that the actual powerplant wasn't destroyed for this. I also can't help to think that a regular old 4.6 with a blower on it could make the same power, or if you went the turbo route blow these numbers out tog the watre. But take solace knowing that a Cobra wasn't sacrificed for this project.
On another note, I can't be the only one that was secretly wanting the car to jump off the dyno. Running a car with no straps and just wheel chocks and your buddies sitting on the trunk is asking for problems. . .

I just noticed now that the car does NOT have an IRS, and I think the mirrors are wrong. Aaaand the steering wheel doesn't have "Cobra" on it. Your claim may hold some validity, and this guy is an asshole for lying.
Yeah the safety at this shop is apparently priority #1, normally you don't need someone in the trunk for 400rwhp. But I doubt that Kuwait has an equivalent to OSHA
Also, here is my 4.6 with a M112, 3.4L pulley and 10lbs of boost. Aside from the blower, the car has LT headers, and... thats it actually, still the stock exhaust pipes aside from mufflers. This is through a 4R70W auto

Marauder? If so, you basically have a N/A Cobra motor in there which proves it loves boost by that torque curve. That is a thing of beauty. I almost doesn't look real because of how linear the curves are.

It always made me happy when I got to drive a Marauder around, even if it was just through the shop and carwash. . . One guy had his cammed to the point it wouldn't idle for shit but it sure was ballsy out on the road. Its a shame that most of them have gone to shit, or at least the ones you find for sale now. There is nothing like cruising with shit tons of power and air ride in the rear.
Also that is one sweet sounding beast you got there. I like that it is one of the burgundy cars to and not one of the generic black cars.

Is anyone sure it was ever a Cobra? My guess is it was a crap base car and it was just cheaper/more interesting to go LS than try to make it a Cobra.
