No surprises here, it looks like a mixture of F30 3-Series sedan and M4 Concept. I'm not usually a fan of all-too-loud colours, but I can dig this.

Why do motorcycle riders always rev their engine up for zero reason? Your the worlds biggest asshole if you do that in a car that loud.

Honestly why? I'm curious.

F80 already? They just started F 5 years ago. They got like 40 years out of the E's!

They need to consolidate—that is, make the 3/4-series and everything based on it the same number F30. For example, the E36 coupe, sedan, convertible, ti hatchback, Z3, and the wagon we didn't get were all E36.

Doesn't matter the make, model or amount of wheels.

My understanding is that F80 designates the M GmbH model of the F30 sedan while F82 designates the M GmbH model of the F32 Coupe, the M4 Coupe.

If there were a Touring, it would be the F81 M3 ... if there was a GT, it would result in the F83 M3 Touring and if there was a hypothetical 2dr shooting brake, this would have to be the F ... 82½ ... awww I give up.

Reasons I could come up with off the top of my head:

lack of patience

fear of stalling

lack of torque at low rpm, cf. no. 2

they don't want to be overlooked by other motorists

they're just that proud of riding a bike, they have to share the feels

#1 doesn't count, because I can't do that in traffic.

2&3 = just be a better rider.

4&5 seem more like reality.

Umm ... but you need some torque to get going, so revving will further your chances. That said, letting the revs fall again doesn't make any sense then. I shall judge it case by case. :p

See I know what your saying, but in this video and many like other cases ..... there are lots of revs and no forward movement.

So I don't buy that.

that m3 appears to have a 'not manual' type gearbox as it jolts forward before moving away smoothly...what kind of paddle shift are in these now? Dual clutch surely?

From what I know, both M3 and M4 (Coupe, duh) will come with the option of a manual transmission while the M DKG will be considered standard.
