He's fat because people call him fat, which makes him eat more because he's depressed people are calling him fat. So quit being mean lol

This is what's wrong with advertising these days. Back in my day, adverts were designed by people with a penchant for marketing. Sometimes, you would actually look forward to seeing that commercial, or hearing a jingle on the radio.

Nowadays though it's all about those CPMs. More ads, more possible CPMs.

"Hey, these ads aren't relevant at all to what we're publishing! Who the fuck cares!"
"Yeah, we're certain that the majority people reading offroading forums definitely want to learn how to lose belly fat and be more attractive to their husbands."
"LOL HURR DURR I JSUT STARTED A INTERWEB BLOGSITE AND IMA LOAD IT UP WITH IRRELEVANT ADDS BECAUSE CASH MONIES."

Nothing is relevant any more. Get forced to watch a baby food commercial on YouTube before being allowed to watch the highlight reels from [insert sporting event here]. Attempt to load up a news article relevant to your interests and get bombarded with full-screen, autoplay, full audio ads about getting catheters delivered to your home (discreet my tight, chiseled ass).

Advertising used to be considered an art. Now it's just a nuisance.

Because just like the Silverado itself, most of its owners are overweight.

My favorites are the ads that play before watching a commercial on YouTube.

and they are usually target by your searches, besides a blocker you can just shut of most of these adds if you go to the opt out pages

I made this comment last week. Online advertising is really getting out of hand.

I'm not one to use ad blockers, either. I frequent a lot of info sites that make a little from their ads (nowhere near what they pay to host the place, definitely not enough to cover their expert-level information) and, on those pages, I have no problem viewing - even sometimes clicking - their ads.
