I am beginning to think 1971 was a great year for concept cars. Lots of wedge, lots of win. This is one of the more oddball ones. Designed by Guigaro, the 71 Alfasud Caimano stood out from the likes of say, the Countach LP500 and the Maserati Boomerang by having a dome windshield that lifted up to allow entrance. I dont believe I would want to flip it over, but maybe that 63 horsepower boxer would contribute to low center of gravity. Based on the Alfasud chassis that was also introduced in 71 at Turin. Interesting

I don't think the shape of the dome is quite right in profile, but that's a pretty cool wedge.
