I activated winter mode today, which besides filling up on anti-freeze, and replacing a burnt out lightbulb I hadn't noticed before, meant getting the winter wheels which I plasti-dipped this summer on the car.
I really dig how they look on the car. It's a nice contrast with the silver car, yet they somehow match the black trim. All in all I think it makes gramps look a little less like a grandpa car. Or maybe like gramps suddenly wearing his hat backwards or something...
Oh, and I also put one of these alcohol-based window sprays in the boot. So how do you guys prepare for the snowy season?

Lookin good!
Besides switching over to my winter tires, and doing a thorough inspection to make sure nothing it in need of replacement, there's not much to preparing my car for winter other than watching out on the roads for all of those people who forget to prepare, and forget what snow is, and how to drive in it.

My snow tires went on the car today. Supposed to get slushy snow overnight. I don't do anything else specific for winter. I cast an eye over the suspension and brake parts while the wheels are off to make sure everything is still in place, but that's it.
