Fart = speed.. NOT drive... same in Norwegian :)
Farthinder = speed bump

I used to get the VW official factory mag in German. It was Gute Fahrt, which is good driving. Always made me chuckle

Yeah.. as Petter Solberg once said "it's not the fart that kills you, it's the smell" Smell = bang in Norwegian.

"Shart"; Søker etter ordet i ordboken, finner ikke dette ordet; mente du Scart?
"Shart; Can't find that word in the dictionary; did you mean Scart? (Scart = EuroAV)

It could also mean "have a nice trip" :) Do you know what they call a motorbike in germany?

Would've been, if he actually said it. Still funny :) His brother DID say this however "I had only three gear.. Only three gear, very hard to drive" (I'm paraphrasing somewhat, can't remeber word for word) What he meant was that he only had THIRD gear... And I can fully understand that driving in a rally with only third gear would be rather hard.

Just to be clear, I fully understand what one means with shart, it just doesn't translate into norwegian that well ;)

Nah... no S there mate... it would be "Jeg føler ett behov for litt fart" (Norwegian) or "Jag känner att det behövs lite fart" (Swedish) ;)
