The only one I can think of is in the 'Rolla. Are there others I've forgotten, or is the old Toyota the last of its kind?

There are still a shit-ton of brand new Chrysler 200s with 4-speed slushboxes out there.

Forgot about the E series, surprised at the Transit and wow, Mitsubishi still makes cars?

I'm wishing the manual on the tree would come back, personally.

I guess one benefit to selling everything is you can keep a car company a float. But yea the E series is just about dead, the transit is a bit of a surprise.

Here's a better question: How many cars still have those pop-up antennas?

I got one as a rental this month.

Aaaaaand I could only take it for a day before I demanded a rental car that would go up a hill.

The outgoing Forester has (had?) a four-speed auto.

Came here to say Subaru. But at least they've made progress with their autos. My mom's 2003 Legacy has perhaps the worst automatic transmission in existence - my 200k-mile W124 with a weakening trans shifted better than that thing. It shifts up when you're trying to go uphill, and down when you reach the crest, and holds gears for way too long when you're driving at a constant speed on flat ground. Comically aggravating when you're trying to drive it to a ski mountain and back at 5am in the cold, and just plain strange anywhere else. Plus it's geared to run very high at 75 mph, so you can't really argue that it's meant for highways.

But it soldiers on all the same. My dad's 2007 Legacy with the auto was a vast improvement - shifts fine, and manages to be a pretty fun car despite that.

2003 Mazda 6i auto. 4 speed slush. 3000 rpms all the time! just a little ways off the power band.

Nope has a five speed since 2006 the 8th was given crap for not not having a 6 speed auto in the 9th gen. Corolla imo is a worse product than the 2012 civic and has not received the same criticism. 4 speed auto, drum brakes, twist-beam axle in the rear, and engine designed in the early 2000s and not get on mpgs for its low hp, a car that does marginal in crash test, etc.

2013 2.7L Toyota Tacomas still use a 4 speed auto. Comine a 3600lb curb weight with a 4speed auto and 159hp/180tq, you get a miserable experience.

I took a swing at the 2013 Forester myself. It's automatic is more like your dad's '07 Legacy - it may only be a four-speed, but it puts down the power better than many six speeds I've tried (most notably, the one in the Ford Edge)!

Lincoln MKZ (so much for being Lincoln's best/most advanced car)
