I've seen this video of it... but I had always assumed it still had the 351C with twin turbos added onto it.

Makes it that much more crazy...

According to the article, it's not a "Koenigsegg" engine, but rather the same Ford modular engine the Koenigsegg CCX is based off of. So it's not like he just plopped a Koenigsegg engine in the car, or got one from a wrecked CC. He just used Koenigsegg's model as a way to build his own Modular engine.

Still fucking insane.

Yeah, I didn't feel like writing out the specifics.

I really hope he's raced it around at least a couple times, though I don't see any video evidence. There are only a few of him tooling around.

"1,700 horsepower is entirely possible."

Yeah, I read the project thread a couple of years ago. There are some good Granada projects going on here, you also have this guy with 2400hp, 11.5 litres..

Kinja'd!!!

...and some V8 setups that have more mods towards grip and autocross than pure power.

The Granada was recognized as a classic car only a few years after the Scorpio came out, and Ford has a huge following here. It's for those that are a bit more grown up/bored with the Escort/Sierra Cosworth.

And there aren't really any old cars over here that has a bigger engine bay compared to total size. The Mk1 Granada actually came with a 302 V8 for two years, but that's very rare now..
