She's now driving a 2010 Toyota Urban Cruiser

Kinja'd!!!

(I think it's called the Scion xD in the US), it's got awd and it's a diesel. Now, the thing is, she doesn't really need the awd, and the only reason she got a diesel was because she wanted one in mauve, and that colour could only be had on the awd diesel. Prior to that she had a Toyota Aygo (2007, petrol). Anywho, she's now looking for a new car, and I KNOW she likes the Lexus CT 200h, and she likes it in white.

Kinja'd!!!

My question is (or I've got several, but..) Has anyone of you driven a CT 200h? If so, what was it like? The next question is, is there any other small/smallish car from Lexus or Toyota you guys/gals thinks she should consider, and yes it MUST be a Lexus or a Toyota, her new boyfriends best mate is the Toyota dealer where they live and they know the Lexus dealer in Oslo (Norwegian capital), so she'll never consider anything else. I've TRIED talking her into getting an IS 300h F Sport,

Kinja'd!!!

since her man has a GS 450h F Sport and she really like the GS F Sport but thinks the GS is a bit big. But for some reason she also thinks the IS is a bit bigger then what she really needs.

So yeah, should I keep trying to push her into getting a IS 300h F sport? Or is there any other car from Lexus/Toyota you guys would recommend? Keep in mind that the car MUST be available in Norway(Or at least Europe), and that it has to be a new car.

Toyota's cars are awesome!

Yeah the Urban Cruiser is called the xD over here, but our XD doesn't offer AWD or diesel :( and Urban Cruiser is a cooler name too!

Nothing wrong with a CT200h except there's no CT-F haha

There IS an F version of the CT 200h her in Norway at least, that's the one she's considering, not sure if it's an F sport though.

or did you mean CT-F as in IS-F :P

And by all means, nothing wrong with Toyotas, they are just... well.. not that much fun.. or.. the Aygo she had was plenty fun, not fast but handled like a go-kart.

It's just that I'd like her to buy something I could borrow and have some fun with :P I do drive her boyfriends GS 450h some times, but that's just WAY to expensive to thrash around in :P

Nah, I've got a brother and a sister, both younger than me.. still the youngest of us is 24 :P So she COULD get an 86.. I newer even considered that, and there's a reason for that, she wont drive the GS because she thinks it's to big, and she does occasionally need more than two seats. And yes, I'd LOVE it if she got one..

Yeah I meant CT-F as in IS-F!

The IS300h F Sport is the best choice in my mind. I wouldn't suggest anything else in terms of practicality, given your constraints.

But in reality, where people have actual choices....

Even staying with Toyota, I would suggest a 2-3 year old non-hybrid Toyota, and pocket the money you would have spent on the grossly overpriced Lexus to buy a BRZ.

yeah, but a FWD F anything with my mom behind the wheel would just, well.. let's just say it would end up like something Clarkson would say.

Yeah.. but she's adamant on it being a new car.. But I think I'll try a bit harder on the IS 300h thingy..

Pretty sure "Urban Cruiser" is a slang term for paedophile or something similar. =/

I haven't driven a CT, but I think it's meant to be quite good. All I can say is that if she has a Toyota Urban Cruiser, she needs a new car!

Try tempting her into an 86 of you can. The rear seats are just barely useable by adults for short trips. Longest legs sit in the front, though.

She only drives short trips, the problem is that she often uses her car to pick up my brother and my grandmother for family dinners, my brother is to tall to sit in the back, and he's not got a license.. and my grandmother can barely get in and out of my 97 civic :P My mom is short enough to sit in the back though :P So perhaps she's just got to employ me as her driver ;)

Free candy from the Scion accessories catalog?

That's why the CT-F and ES-F would be AWD :)
