After a couple of ceremonial installation laps in my Star Mazda at Mount Panorama, and the resulting BSOD because of yet another video driver issue, I've decided to hang up my virtual helmet and retire from iRacing.
Truth be told I haven't actually had the time to practice in months, hadn't practiced in years and my old Logitech Formula Force is worn out. I think I'll save the money I would spend on equipment, membership fees and new cars and tracks toward my next project car.

I've had a hard time getting to the monitor since the birth of my first child, since she just wants to come slap keys and grab things when I get on, and honestly, I'd rather play with her..... I sure do miss driving, and have kept up my subscription.

Lot of people mentioning iRacing on here recently. I am really interested in trying it. I have forza 4 and a fanatec setup and it seems like the next step. I'm hesitant because I think I'd have to build or buy a whole rig...not ideal just yet since I'm still renting. But damn the racing looks good...

Same basic thing here. Three and a half and constant activity. Time to move on.
