I'm going to drive and film an Alfetta (=little Alfa) tomorrow, much like the one pictured: a red 2.0 carb, with square lights. For " carb " read double DCOEs on the DOHC i4, and all this thanks to an Alfista garage, so the car's supposed to be good.

Anything particular i should look out for? Anything particular i should tell you about?

Rust? How many times it breaks?

How well it speaks to your soul?

This might be weird, but if you get the chance go through a tunnel (listen to it sing, of course), and see if the headlights are like candles in jam jars.

Here there is a pretty well known stereotype that old Italian cars have rubbish headlights, because they are from sunny Italy, and that Swedish cars have the best ones. I always wonder if that is true...

Remove as many parts of the airbox as possible for more induction noise.

I always found that the best headlight on an old car is my MR2. I like to attribute that to it being a pop-up: because it is shielded from the elements and UV rays, it didn't age like all the others.
