I have a great project planned. I'm going to keep quiet about it right now, but I promise to reveal it first on Oppo. However, I'm at the point where I've figured out the what and how and now I'm waiting for the main component to arrive so I can really get started.

I hate this point in a project. I'm ready to go. I have my shop set up for it. I've finished the preceding projects. But I have to wait. And because the final dimensions are only going to be known when the main component arrives, I can start fabricating anything up front. So I go out in the shop and organize, practice welding, basically just piddling and pacing.

Hopefully it will all be done and unit #1 will be completed in a few weeks. This should make it possible for me to get my truck even sooner than expected if it is received as well as I think.

I'm at the point in my Ranchero project where I know dimensions vaguely for the engine fitting, but until I order a trans and bellhousing I won't have things nailed down to fabricate. Less waiting for parts to arrive, than deck space to clear.

Unlike you, I've blabbed about it quite a lot. Maybe I shouldn't.

I've also reached this point in my project, that main component I'm waiting for is money.

Yeah, I know that point in a project. The kicker for me is this project is going to provide funding for another project. I made a promise to myself to have my toys funded separately. So I build things, sell them, then use the money for bigger projects.
