I hate myself right about now, my poor Hornet's clutch cover is now bruised from a slight drop.
I need to bang my head on the road in anger. :(

That sucks. Guessing it must have been really low speed if that's all it was and it didn't crack it. You hurt yourself?

Nah, just some shock, but that's it.
It was a low speed maneuver from the Seattle Library. Wasn't thinking and the next thing I knew, I landed right next to a concrete column.

Lame. Well at least it didn't really hurt you or the bike. I dropped my old Z750S years ago because I pulled over to the side of the road and the pavement I stopped on gave way and let me slide into the ditch in slow motion.
I don't think it matters what happens, you are going to be pissed off.

Look at it this way; no one pulled the cardinal sin of dropping someone el -oh. :(

LOL. I have only dropped one of my bikes twice. The described before and once at a coffee stand... a lady in an SUV pushing past me on a hill, actually brushing against me. Knocked my down hill foot out from under me and resulting in the bike falling on top of me. It would have been really hard to get it off if it weren't for the massive surge of rage strength I got from seeing her smirk and drive off.

Holy shit. And people wonder why I don't like the women/SUV combination. Glad to see you made it out of that, though, but damn.

Yep. Had another lady rear end me at a drive through coffee place. Sitting at the window with her behind me for about 2 minutes, then all of a sudden she forgets to use her brake and rear ends my bike square in the back tire. Needs to say I was surprised, but I didn't drop the bike. It kicked me about a bike length forward (thankfully I was in neutral). She just looked at me like she was confused, then backed up and drove off. I guess that was embarrassing enough to make her skip coffee. No real permanent damage from that one that I remember... but I know my wheel was slid out of adjustment and I had to tighten the chain back up a little while after.
At least yours was just you and yourself. Less likely to feel like harming someone in that situation ;)

Hate to sound cliche-ey. But, that will buff out.

And it's also a good excuse to either a) upgrade to a delrin slider clutch cover or b) refinish it and take the opportunity to highlight the recessed Honda type.

I had a 15mph high side in the rain earlier this year. First time in 22 years of riding I fell of a motorcycle.
The first thing I thought of is what marks the scraping sounds were going to leave in the bike, and how much it would cost to fix it. The second thing I thought was "Oh shit, were is my wife's niece?"
I have to replace a set of crash bars, one saddle bag guard, and touch up some paint on the floorboard mount... Glad it looks like cosmetic parts for you, too.

That sucks, I hate to say it you popped her cherry!
Now you'll find your self riding harder and doing silly stuff, now that you got that out of the way, unless it's a garage queen.
