Is anybody else having trouble adding videos to posts? When you insert the youtube url and click publish, it says "there were some errors during save, please try again".

I get that problem with photo links if the photo is too large. Are the videos Youtube or Vimeo?

Youtube? My Caterham post (below yours) doesn't have embedded video, but I can't get the "copy video URL at the current time" links to work. They take you to different times in the video. Related?

I can't add youtube videos to my posts. Simply pasting the url into the post as usual results in the error message when I hit publish.

Usually Youtube works for me. Are you using the insert video button or just pasting the link into the body of the post?

It's the same thing. The button pastes the link into the post, it just adds a few clicks to the process.

Seems to be working for comments. Haven't tried posts yet.

It would seem that having the video open in another tab causes the problem

I just read your post and watched the video. Low light performance looks pretty decent.

Really? I'm going to have to look into that. Most times this happens because Kinja can't extract a proper videothumb from the clip, which is sometimes on Youtube's end, but if what you say holds true, that would be an interesting development.

When you run into this issue, send us a link to the video so we can investigate.

Closing the tab with the video that was already open solved the problem. Perhaps it's an issue with Kinja being unable to claim the "resources" if the video is already "in use".
