Expected to replace the existing Genesis in 2015.

Kinja, you've accidentally the whole coke bottle this time.

It's pretty, but you're right it looks like the 6. And the Fusion.

"Hyundai reveals new Mazda 6"
I don't get it...
Also, what is that badge on the nose...?

even though I'm taking a dig at it, I still quite like it, the Mazda 6 is a good looking car. Hyundai seem to think it would look even better with Mercedes headlights
(and the spy shots show it's not really that close to a Mazda 6, it's just the above marketing shots accentuate the similarities)

I hadn't noticed the Mercedes headlights. I did notice the Chrysler grill.

Might just be the presentation and the character crease down the side, but I see a smidge of 6 Gran Coupe in there.

Since it's RWD and available with a 5.0L V8 with at least 450 horsepower (I'm leaving room for a possible bump in power) I'd say this is better than the Mazda 6.

I agree, if only their was a wagon to please the Oppoverse

That's the Genesis badge. In its domestic market (Korea) this and the coupe wear those instead of the H badge.

This will be much bigger than the 6, though, won't it?
I like pretty much everything about it, including the almost real-world-sized wheels. I demand they make it and finally sell it in Germany, too – even if that means downgrading the engine range to a V6 Diesel and a V6T.

its pretty much a fox body 'stang if you think about it....

Not sure I quite get what you're trying to say.

5.0 L V8, RWD...

Yeah I got that much, but not where you were going with that analogy (especially since it's got 450+ hp instead of 165-235 and the engine has DOHC instead of OHV).

there are plenty of differences obviously, just thought that it was funny how different those two cars are, yet similiar at the same time.

Christ Hyundai is doing things right! I so want to see them start a factory racing GT effort with this car. Hyundai needs to get on the "sell on Monday" wagon....oh...i got it! "win on Sunday, sell on HyundaY" see what i did? eh?

Am I the only one who thinks this render looks similar but better than the new Q50?

there's not much difference in size between the existing Mazda 6 and Genesis, 100mm difference in length.
I'd rather the Hyundai though

Well ... yeah, I had the successor Mazda 6 in mind, I guess. I have yet to really get an idea of what the current model looks in the metal and in terms of size.
Also, 100mm is a lot ... 20% of what stood between a Maybach 62 and a Maybach 57. :D

Interesting, didn't know that. Either way, that is a nice looking car.
However, it is still a Hyundai and still has a stigma of cheapness.

I mean yeah the Stigmas there but the quality is top notch. I passed up a Gene coupe when I got my Si, and I still question that decision to this day.
