Doesn't that car need to go into hiding for another 5 years before it becomes legal?

Yeah, I know that. I would totally rock that little pulsar. Just without those horrendous blue wheels. Now if they were hot pink that would be a different story. . .

I'll bust out the camera Friday night and head to AP. I literally make 2 lefts and drive a mile and a half and I'm there.

My friends and I amusingly refer to it as the "Human Aquarium." Lots to look at. Some good, some bad, some ugly, some stupid. ;)

I kinda want to crazy and plastidip my miata all sorts of weird colors. I'd turn it into a dayglo version of the hideous Golf that came with all different colored body panels. But That would cost too much for turning my car ugly. . . And that was a tangent. . .

Godzooky.

Kinja'd!!!

FYI, it's not a homog. model, since it has an AC system and ABS installed, but that doesn't make it any less awesome. I'd buy it and put more tasteful rims on it.

I always wished they had made a coupe version of these, instead of the box rear hatch. They're damn ugly, but incredibly fast.

Pretty much something every day of the week out here. I've been busy as hell around the house and at work and really haven't had the camera out too much this year. I need to go back to the midnight shift.

When you say Pulsar I see this:

Kinja'd!!!

A gf in highschool had one of these, in red, of course (she had red hair, too). I was 17, and hadn't really driven much at that point, and thought that it was a blast to drive. I only appreciated later on that a) lower the ground means a greater sensation of speed, and b) driving a slow car fast is, as Jeremy Clarkson says, a blast.

But that, that's some batshitcrazy Japanese shit somebody smuggled in their luggage over here, yes?

hahaha, dont plastidip it then, just diy a wrap. That way its not actually painted on. Hey if the car isnt a show car, have fun with it. A miata is the perfect car to fool around and try different things on.

I've seen a few for sale. Seems that customs doesn't care that much about some unassuming hatchback. They're too busy crushing Skylines.

it may or may not have been brought in under wraps. I am not to make that call. But this is a nice peice of car no doubt.

Thats a funny looking thing. The hatch is just weird.

Plastidip is cheaper and easier to do than the vinyl wraps. It seems like all you really need for plastidip to not be a pain to take off is a good thick coat of ultra slippery wax. It's about $300 for a 5 gallon bucket of plastidip but I know a roll of vinyl is considerably more.

well you dont need top quality vinyl. I mean, the plasti dip aint gonna be perfect either.

Yeah but I know I would waste a whole day with a heatgun trying to get all the creases out. Plastidip you can just spray it on and then what ever you fuck up just peel it off and start over. I think plastidip wins in the ease of application area over a vinyl wrap.

Sooooo the car says it has ITBs....

But then says it's turbo'd...

So is there an enclosed intake manifold with ITBs inside? I've only seen ITBs on an N/A car.

I think ill survive. haha. Murica' is my one and only true home.

v8's, (relatively) cheap gas, pretty much no regs on car modifications, and a bill of rights. And dont forget about bald eagles. Eagles are badass.

lol do some homework. Im finding that the sr20det is able to do that:

"GTI-R pulsars are ITB/turbo. you can run the throttles/lower manifold but you need a custom plenum made as the GTI-R's plenum faces the opposite direction. with enough trial/error/tuning it will be effective overall."

http://zilvia.net/f/engine-tech/…

even Urban dictionary says so (trololol):

"Stands for Invidual Throttle Bodies. Can be found in cars such as tuned AE86's and GTiRs. Every cylinder has it's own throttle body. Greatly improves throttle response compared to a single throttle. Has a great sound to them."
