Ah the IS300. So good on paper, yet so bad everywhere else. I still want one, though, but it just doesn't compare to it's competitors.

I'm actually considering getting a IS200, I have a sudden love for them yet know so little about them.

=D Don't get me wrong, they're still nice cars and all and I have been seriously considering getting one for myself. In the end though, I couldn't defend buying it over an E46. Thirsty engine, no manual, generally less well built. I guess it would come down to a diference in price where you live or whether you have a hatred towards E46s or not. The more power to you if you get one. They look great.

Actually they did come with a manual. It wasn't a good manual (came out of the Tacoma!), but still a manual. And in terms of quality, I'd say it's on par with the bimmer, especially in reliability, which it destroys the bimmer. And being a gas hog? Psh! You're..... Completely right :V (in case you didn't figure it out, I have an IS300. I'm sitting in it at the school parking lot right now lol. It's an 05, automatic, in black.)

I don't know much about the 200 besides that it seems underpowered.

I have to say I'm a little bit envious. I've been swooning over the black ones.

I'm not all to concerned about power as its mainly for commuting. I have something a bit more entertaining for the weekend. All I hope is that it's reasonably reliable. So far my last two daily drivers have failed me miserably.
Its a shame that the 300 is very rare here in Ireland.
