So I'm going to do a super almost semi-regular weekly-ish thing where I post pictures I manage to get of weird/cool/rare/dumb cars.
( Disclaimer: All pictures are taken from my Phone, Nokia Lumia 920, during daily driving. The camera requires nothing but a hand to operate so my vision and attention is not averted.)
To kick things off let's go with something rare, that I think is cool, but is generally garbage:
Any guesses? I'll put the answer in the feed but I'm sure someone knows. Anyway it's relatively fast, came well equipped, fairly cheap, and halfway reliable. Too bad GM killed off Saturn when they did; they had huge potential...
Moving on! This one isn't so much about the car, but the plate. So a Mazda5, great microvan right? Apparently it makes a great commercial vehicle in Louisiana. No clue what is going on here...
Now time for the really weird. So Velocity something posted some pics I sent him of a truly awful "Pathscalade"- a pathfinder with what looked like a blown up powerwheels vinyl or something. The grill and rear quarter windows got the treatment as well. The windows showed some light post in a gloomy overcast world where it shone no light. I can only assume that the light of hope in the dark world was extinguished by the terror brought about from the abominable creation it bears its image upon.
Even the panel gap from the doors on the Escalade is transcribed upon the glory of the Pathfinder.
Now for a cooldown, although not so cool at all...
Blah, nothing interesting right? Look closer...
Ohhhh mama now we're talkin'. S550 with Genuine Dubs. Not some cut rate off-brand, no my friend these are the real deal. He clearly didn't want to be too showy with Asantis or something so he went for the classy 24's. A nice understated matte black insert with a tasteful red rim. No need to show off, it would look silly to put childish 26" lime green dollar signs so he took the adult route, kept his cool, and bought the right wheels.
And of course a pristine GT-R, because why not?
And finally to raise your hopes in humanity and allow you to continue your Thursday without the urge to smash windows and burn large wheels, I give you a well maintained, decent condition, second generation Toyota Tercel.
I couldn't get a good enough look at it but I know it has a manual. Plus the guy driving was a total bro and clearly knew what he was driving. He also managed to hit 85 on the highway so he's got some cajones.
That's all for this edition, hopefully I spot some interesting vehicles in the near future and I manage to find time to type these up.

A Vue Redline, of course.

You sure that GT-R is 'pristine'? The car above it looks like it was in a wreck. It could be a salvage car.
Edit: Ok, maybe not. I wasn't paying too much attention, and just noticed it's on a carrier of various cars being transported. Some salvage, some used, some already licensed and registered.

For some reason I find these cool. It must be the weird car fetish in me coming out but whatever. I hardly ever see these and a quick search showed there weren't many for sale. I guess I've just never heard of these until recently so I never noticed them

I've always thought they're kind of nifty in a dorky way. It's a ridiculous vehicle, but it's pretty much the only example of a GM firm giving any kind of shit about trying to make anything interesting in the mid-2000s, so it carries a little something there.
Unfortunately, they're still kind of pieces of shit, like everything else Saturn made in that timeframe (or ever?).
