Cool, that was actually one of the cars the studios used for filming.
Neat.

Watching him shift that gated gearbox gave me a sad—the greatest Ferrari tradition is gone forever. That was a good video, though, and it's pretty cool the car is still in Hawaii and has a good home.

Not exactly. He said that they did use three cars, but he didn't say that this was the ACTUAL car from filming. He was likely referring to the individual year's trim for the car.

To me this car looks just perfect. I know the 328 is faster and more reliable but I love the exterior of the 308. Certain details on the 308 look classier to me.

Watched it again... Yeah.. "This is the car they used" was a little misleading.
Edit... And at the end the host did something that all 308 owners joke (or complain) about. You don't PULL on the handle, you push it forwards. I remember hearing that several passenger door levers has been replaced over the years.

I would even take the Malaise Era iteration of it:
"Even Ferraris weren't immune to the emasculation that was the norm in the Malaise Era. The '77 308 may have looked great, but drive one today, and you'll live in fear of meeting a Nissan Versa at the next stop light. Naught to sixty time for the '77 308 was an excruciatingly slow 9.4 seconds."

it may be slow but it feels as much ferrari as any other in the corners.

And it still looks and sounds great.
I'm a point where I care about sound first, then handling, then acceleration. There are so many fast and capable cars. But only a small handful that sound amazing.

this may be ridiculous to most but I spent so much time and money to make my mustang sound perfect. love it!

Not ridiculous at all. That's awesome you've been tweaking your Mustang to make it sound the way you want. Is it a V6 or V8? Gotta enjoy N/A engines before they go extinct!
