Bisecting some of the more affluent areas in Dallas-proper, the DNT is home to speed limits which are often ignored (excellent) and hordes of classic, exotic, the occasional hyper-exotic, and even oddball cars.

My office happens to be right around the corner from what is probably the most affluent neighborhood in the area (Don Henley, Tom Hicks, Former President George W. Bush, and T. Boone Pickens are local residents), and for whatever reason the residents here seem far more apt to drive their exotica than those in the burbs, so I get the chance to peak at some pretty nifty iron on a fairly regular basis. Unfortunately, I'm generally driving, so I don't get to take pictures of a lot of it. But, here's what I've managed to take a picture of in the last few weeks. And no, this post is not one of braggadocio or one-upmanship, merely displaying the fruits of being in the right places at the right times.

Ignore the potatoness of my potato, please.

Most Jalop: E21 320 Baur. I'm a fan of the E21, but you don't see them often and certainly not in really-weird-half-cloth-top form.

An old Divco milk truck being used as a catering/baking van. I'm currently working on setting up my own coffeesnob food truck, so this one appealed to me in particular.

H/O 442. Even had a quick chat with the gentleman pictured, who may have been caught off-guard that a millennial was capable of intelligently conversing with him about his car, in traffic no less (EVERY ARTICLE MUST RELATE THE PLIGHT OF MILLENNIALS SOMEHOW PER AP STYLEBOOK)

Evora, which is exactly what I'd be daily driving in this area if I had the means.

Technically a bit further east than the DNT, but I was in the Alfa when I spotted this 911 and we exchanged mutual nods of approval.

Again, a bit further from the DNT, but this NSX was quite deliciously clean and was an odd choice to be hanging out in Deep Ellum, known more for its grungy night-life than its well-preserved Japanese sports cars

Kinja'd!!!

And to cap it all off, another supremely Jalop selection, a Conquest/Starion being trailered down the DNT itself (oldest picture here, maybe someone who knows these cars a bit better can spot the differences for me).

That's it for today's edition, I'll try and do a better job of keeping up with the sights. I'd post some of the Teslas I've seen, but I bet I see one every other day (literally), so it's become a bit de rigueur for me. Which is odd given how Autoblog made a post today about how hard it is to buy a Tesla in Texas (newsflash: given the number I see here, it can't be)

I, uh, I might know the owner of the NSX.

Yeah, the amount of Teslas, especially Model S' I see at Houston's C&C gathering I'm like...

uh, it's clearly not difficult to buy the car, although I imagine Tesla wants to pamper the Texan customers but can't do it as well as they can elsewhere. Thankfully there are a few superchargers for the Model S owners.
