Crazy beagle lady

No SR20, but driving into work this morning, I was behind an Impreza with three "I <3 My Beagle" stickers, a "Crazy Beagle Lady" sticker, and a "My Kids Have 4 Paws" sticker. The license plate also said "LVBEGL."

I do wonder what her husband would think of her beagle obsession, if she had one.

I have never understood how people can bond with an animal like this. Then I'm from the country and my pets would get eaten by something and never come back or, in one case, run over by the bus.

All these people who pretend there dogs or cats are kids don't know what they're talking about. I love my dog and I love dogs, all my pets i've truly cared about and loved. But once we had our son I didn't realize how much MORE I would love him vs the dog. The dog doesn't get anywhere near the amount of attention he should anymore but as much as we treated him like he was our kid - don't ask me to choose between the dog and my son I think it's pretty clear which way I'd lean. lol

If people want to treat their animals like children and not have any children that's fine with me ... they probably shouldn't be reproducing anyways.

My neighbours across the street have beagles and a bumper sticker that says "Dogs are children that you don't have to send to college." They're also children that die before you do and, even if you replace them, they cannot support you in your old age.
