Check out the BRZ that Caswell has been racing for Crawford. Most if not everything they've done to the race car is available to purchase from Crawford.
Actually I felt like checking it out again so here is one of the vids

Probably would have been nice if that S2000 wasn't parked on the track ;)

I love the Crawford BRZ, but I don't think it would be a good idea for DD. Particularly for a college student.

BRZ with 260hp (so ~half the Crawford lol) would be a sweet rig for a DD. I wonder how much power I/H/E gets the car.

I know with a full exhaust+intake+tune you get about 230 to 240ish hp, so adding another 20 should be no problem. I really just want 250ish without resorting to FI(which is possible) or E85 gasoline. Just need to wait until people start doing engine work.

for this car to have enough torque to really be a hoot, forced induction or mucho larger displacement is needed. Even a mild supercharger setup running an effecient 6psi would probably net somewhere in the 220-230ft lbs area. THAT would be fun and still very usable.

Could you just imagine that behemoth on like a touge course?

The problem with forced injection is that, well, there's really no other way to say it.

All motor is best motor.

Power delivery just never is quite as linear with FI. I'd stick with a supercharger if I had to go FI route to try and keep power delivery more linear. Also, more immediate torque, which is REALLY what these cars need. I don't understand the whole "high revving engines are better for the street" thing. Most of the time when you want power you need it low down in the rev range.

I pretty sure it couldn't even fit on the road.

Well what I meant was 260 is possible without resorting to FI, not that FI is a possibility. The torque dip that this car has should be gone with a nice set of UEL headers(ELs do it too to some extent, but they are better for up top power). Luckily the aftermarket loves this car, so hopefully internals should be coming around soon.

Yes, I know what you meant. I was supporting your point, really.

I know almost nothing, but I think MotoIQ.com has been having fights with their FR-S project car's ECU, and it has that has an aftermarket exhaust and a couple other bolt-ons. The more they drove the car, the closer the power returned toward stock. I think they just pulled the trigger on a supercharger kit, but this is worth a once-over:
