Fuck you too nibbles, I didn't really need to have my post eaten too.
I had the misfortune of attending the funeral of a friends mother today. The grey haired lady next to me was bouncing around like a 12 year old with ADD and a pocket full of speed. Seriously, knock that shit off or I'm gonna slap you. /ENDRANT
On a better, maybe cheer me up, note have a picture of Ken Block getting some oppo that I took this weekend while attending the LSPR.

I would say that is less of a rant and more of a tip

I want to know what prompted this Public Service Rant ...

... but I also don't. Methinks it could be a long, uncomfortable story.

EDIT: Welp, now that your post actually showed up, my comment makes no sense.

THANKS OBAMNIBBLES!

I have ADD, and I've been to a funeral unmediated. I don't see the problem.

Edited to recreate the post that nibbles ate.

The lady sitting next to me was bouncing around to the point that I wanted to slap her. If you can't sit still it is a problem.

Not so long or uncomfortable. Just one of those things. And nibbles timing was impeccable.

Difference between ADD and idiocy.

Also, obligatory "ADD is just a term created to push expensive medications on uncontrolled children".

Yo dog, I heard you like tips, so don't tip of my rant and I won't rant about your tip.
...
Wait...what?

Apparently only for you.

What makes you think she has ADD? What if there was some autism involved as well?

What makes you think it was autism? Maybe it was parkinsons?

In this particular case, grow some damn tolerance. Some people, as outlined in the various potential causes indicated, cannot help themselves and guess what? They get experience funerals or weddings or whatever too.

That said, I heavily edit the places I can take my autistic son to, because of the same reason. Having said that, when someone cannot help but direct horrified stares at him or me, well they need to adapt. That is the polite response.

This may not be how you were acting, and it probably wasn't, but for me it is a huge red button issue. What am I supposed to do, lock him in the attic? Ridiculous, this isn't Victorian England.

As for Parkinsons, well that is in the family as well and yes, meds help up to a point. However for all the loss of motor control, the person is still in there, as well.

Also, Nibbles can die in a fire. This was much longer and nicer before. Sorry.

I wouldn't be that bothered by it. People are people, not everyone can sit still for long periods. So long as the lady wasn't laughing or yelling profanities, I don't see why it's an issue.
