certain states have "winter blend" fuel. It makes cars less efficient, not sure of the benefits, lol.

Ah shit. I couldn't see the whole image before I came in here... now I feel a rant coming on. Just need to breath, drink my coffee, and remember that I can buy 92 octane ethanol free fuel year round at a station that is reasonably close.

It has more butane(up to 10%, vs. about 2% in summer blend), sacrificing MPG for better cold-weather combustion. Also, since butane(known as Bastard Gas in Arlen, Texas) is much cheaper, the gas price goes down.
