...and was designed by Guigaro while he was still at Bertone. And has an aluminum four-banger. And double wishbone front suspension. Why is it we do not post the Mazda Familia all day every day?
As a note, those headlight rings are pretty cool.

I saw those all over Thailand, I guess they really sold them there back in the day. I see some at car meets in Japan, some sitting under awnings with other cars that need some attention. I know the location of many unrestored Japanese cars around here, they probably wonder why an old Gaijin is slowly driving down streets peering at storage areas near the homes! I might be arrested as a pervert, "I was trying to find old cars" I will say. Bob Dylan in his old age took a walk into a neighborhood near some place he was going to play. He walked up a lawn to a home for sale and was looking in the windows. Someone called the police about a homeless man looking in houses haha. He didn't have his wallet, he said he was Bob Dylan and took them back to his venue. I liked that story when he told it, he added a lot of character to it.

I know. I've been in love with them ever since I first saw one of these:
If it had been sold in America, it'd be everyone's favorite car. Fortunately, they're still kind of a secret.
My other favorite secret killer car is the Daihatsu Compagno which also came in pickup and "van" configurations.
