I'm sure if you complain enough they will refund you. Most corporate chains would rather shut you up even if it costs them a couple bucks

I'm not even sure if this is a national chain...There are only two stations near me, and ever since I filled up my car has a nasty noise top end wise....

I might go down and talk to the manager and see if he knows where they get the gas and shit.

Good fucking luck with that, guy

Happened to me a couple years back - I had just got the SPG running again after a slight hiatus. Threw in a fresh tank of high octane and, well, made it to work. Had to get towed home. Found out there were others that filled up the same day at the same station, same high octane fuel, whose cars' tanks were now being pumped.

Contacted the station - they sent me to the owner. He flat-out refused to refund any monies unless we (the ones with bad fuel) paid for a complete fuel analysis. I didn't have that cash, the others I'd been talking to didn't have that cash, and we decided it was too much of a hassle. Whatevs, they lost any repeat customers (and gained some poor word-of-mouth).

In the end, I pumped it out of the Saab and used it in the lawnmower and the truck. Apparently it didn't have any issue burning in a 9.1:1 cr V8.

I'm just hoping that it doesn't get any worse than it is....Its just making a slight noise at idle....And with this being a BRAND NEW ENGINE that I just spent over 8 grand on, I'll be a little cross if this kills it.

Honestly if you're worried in any form I'd say go ahead and pump the tank. Sometimes (alltimes?) the life of the engine is worth more than the price of the fuel.

Especially when the engine was this hard to find in the states.

I'm gonna go into work, pump my tank out toss some 110 octane in it cause I have some and run it.

Car is tuned for any sort of fuel including E85 depending what the sensor in the tank sees, and I'm catless so I can run Leaded airplane fuel o.o

If it's not one of the big ones like Gulf or Mobil/Exxon they typically buy from whoever is the cheapest supplier of gas that week. Could be from anywhere, and it could be crap.
