well , I think by this point we have a (rather extensive) list of complaints since the Oppopocalypse . in this post I propose a list of the benefits of the new design , so we can look at this in a pros vs. cons kinda way . so , I will start the list of benefits with ... uh ...umm ... yeah , I got nothin' .
EDIT: no , really ... if you know of something that has gotten better , let me know .

What the hell happened to my Oppo author status? is what I want to know. I would make a new post about it, but...ohhh yeah I can't anymore.

My only gripes are the huge swathes of unused space on the sides, and I feel the top stories are unnecessary since we already have a Daswauto. Other than that they could have at least supplied a nice variety of cheeses to go with all this whine.

I was more of referring to oppo as a whole(me included) and not you specifically. I just like to use that joke whenever I can. But you're correct. Benefits? I got nothing. I'm sure they'll be adjusting things as they get feedback like in previous updates.

My primary gripes about the new layout are the scrawny photos and the space pig that is the Top Stories column. Everything else seems to function reasonably well.

right , that's the price we are paying , but what are we getting in return ? it still stays borked up for hours on end ... what got better for us to put up with the bad part ?

this is like buying a Whopper , then taking it home and cooking it , cuz it was raw . it's supposed to be cooked when you get it .
