I'm currently at my local dealer for some service work and am looking at their inventory. They have fourteen mustangs and 7 of them are 2014 GT500s, which I thought was a lot especially for Saskatoon. I mean, just as many GT500s as V6s and GTs combined? Does this make sense?

Last model year for the 500 (as far as I know). Probably stocking up in hopes he can make a good $ off people who want to collect one or something.

Last GT500 for a few years, so yea. Sell them over MSRP, rack up tons of profit.

Ah, it all makes sense now. Thanks! (Side note: A few years ago this same dealership happened to get two Ford GTs when they first came out. Again, located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan)

Although I'm a Ford guy I'd be tempted to spend that coin on a C7.

Its also about the training of the mechanics at the dealership. Especially when it comes down to the Ford GT. I used to work at a Ford dealer on the east coast, and we were the first certified dealer on the coast, so for a short period of time, if you wanted a GT you were coming through us, whether you were in Maine or in Florida.
This could be the similar situation where they may be the only ones with techs trained to work on GT500s for some land mass and therefore they provide the GT500s to a larger area.

My sentiment exactly. I like the insanity of the GT500, but I think the C7 is a better all around machine. Versus the ZL1, though, I think I would take the Mustang.
