If you create a post which becomes a double post, you will have three minutes to remove one of the posts, otherwise one of the moderators will remove one of them if we notice them. To remove a post follow the instructions below:
Select "Edit" on the post to remove, then set the Publish option to either draft (if you want to keep something within the comments or post) or delete. Then hit save/delete.

1) Open post, and click the gear in the upper right corner. That will show the "edit" button.
2) select where to publish and select "Deleted"
3) Which enables the delete option. Click "delete"
4) Confirm
Also, to get logged in, reply to a post without entering a comment. The comment will fail, but it will log you in first.

Is there any way to do this with comments? Or should I just do what I've been doing and leaving the page after I get the failure to save notice?

Unfortunately, no.

Note that if I have to delete a user's double post, that user will earn my eternal disdain.

Damn, they should add that feature.

I have no sign-in button. Can I reply to a post? This is a test.
Edit: Sign-in page came up when I hit "Publish", now my button is visible.
