I autocrossed a Fiat 500e -and a 500- on Chrysler's dime. I can now cross two things off my list. Good God electric cars haul ass when you stomp on the go pedal. I didn't have time to try the Fords because I didn't find out they had Focus STs until closing, so I'll have to wait until the next auto show comes to town.

Chevy brought along a brand-new Corvette Stingray and it was everything I hoped it would be. Gorgeous in and out though

Also, guess what car this sticker belonged to?

A Mazda 3. Granted, it had leather and all the fancy tech goodies, but for that much money you might as well throw in a little bit extra and sweet-talk your way into an Acura TSX or a slightly-used Audi A4 or BMW 3-series.

I also spotted an Acura RLX stickering at well over $60K. As an Integra owner it's a bit interesting to trace the evolution from that the company who made a loud, noisy, and rough-riding monster like the GS-R to something like the RLX in the span of 18 years.

I never really understood why they badged the Integra as an Acura but the prelude as a Honda. Was the integra ever even offered with leather seats?

Yeah. The GS-R he mentions in his article was full leather interior and Sun roof. The car had a magical 171 HP that feel just shy of its brattier twin brother the Type -R. Having owned a GS-R myself I can tell you that it was one AMAZING vehicle and the leather interior was Astonishingly comfortable. I cannot agree more with what he is saying here...but this is my general attitude with all of honda today. And yes the Teg should have had a Honda badge...but honda already had that flagship coupe...it was called a Civic.

The whole Acura/Honda thing makes sense when you think of it in terms of its 3-way (Honda Primo, Honda Verno, and Honda Clio) Japanese distribution channel and everything had a Honda badge. Calling some things Acura and others Honda sort of threw a wrench into the works.

My GS-R didn't have the leather interior so it wasn't as cushy but it was still a nice step up from the Civic of the day as it came equipped with standard ABS and A/C. It's a brash car but it's a fun car.
