The main downside is that its FWD, compared to the Pulsar GTI-R's AWD... and idk if it came in a hatchback like the Pulsar... and a turbo could always be added...
but I still kinda like it.

If you do a lot of work, they are decent. It sucks to have to do a lot of work just to get decent though, especially when it's FWD. The xr4ti is pretty ugly, but it makes up for it with hoonagability.

One of my old neighbors has one with about 300,000 miles on it. . . That is about all the relevance I can give to this post. . .

It may be FWD but it's an excellent handling chassis and it's got a stellar motor. One of my old roommates had one and thrashed the crap out of it all the time. I'd happily drive one if the condition was good and the right price.
