The man was stopped in traffic in Sydney's Pyrmont suburb with a companion when he heard a noise at the rear of the car.
A bystander told him to get out as the car was on fire. The owner, who did not want to be named, said he was gutted to watch a car he had owned for 20 years go up in flames.
Seems everything is on fire around Sydney these days.
