I've never been a big fan of 4 door Porsches, but this one doesn't look too bad, especially with the black duck-tail spoiler
New Porsche Sponsor vehicle donated by Porsche Cars Australia at no cost to the tax payer. The sponsorship includes, registration, insurance, servicing and all maintenance. The Porsche is used for community events and youth Programs in the Harbourside LAC. As you have seen in the past we loan the vehicle to other commands for their own events and from time to time take it to high Profile events ourselves. These particular photo's have been taken for Porsche, at their expense.

This is the first time I've seen this car not looking silly, since as a pursuit/patrol vehicle, it works. If a tad expensive.

Unfortunately it will never see any pursuits, it is mainly for show

I'm sorry, it still looks just wrong. Porches were never meant to have 4 doors with that style body.

Rear still looks like a Scirocco to me.

Beteween 1965-1973 The swedish police actually drove a bunch of 911's in active duty, here's one that has been restored..

Is that the smoke from the fires west of Sydney?
Seriously, it would have been a nice shot without that finger or whatever in the way (and the Porsche ;-) The one of it in motion looks cool.

Just make a wagon out of this thing, Porsche. It will start to look good and people will stop moaning about it.
![]() 10/19/2013 at 09:01 |

I think these were taken before the fires
the smoke had a much more "doomsday effect"
see here

I just want them to pull the top of the roof-line back another 8 or so inches. Get it really looking like a wagon.

Yeah I knew that - saw plenty of news coverage and eerie shots from friends in the area. Nice dramatic shot there though - is that a Skyline Sports Sedan?

Yes, but anything with four doors we already know it babies...so not as much fun.

'Police', in a font that makes me think of a Miami cocktail bar for some reason.

Is this a representative from Porsche?

Yup, It's still ugly.

I know very well the majority, at least in car blogs don't like it, but I personally never got the hate on it looks.

Love me some Panamera!

I would so love a Panamerica wagon, that or give it a proper trunk, I don't know why all their models have to look like a 911, it's got the motor in the front for gods sake.

like the sport tourismo?
![]() 10/19/2013 at 10:56 |

Damn, that looks pretty slick. Is it a production model? Never seen it before.

Nice, but they haven't quite realised its full potential:

Is this just a refresh of the Panamera they already had?

Although not the same, the goofy font on this thing makes me think of this:

Next to a Brucemobile.

That is the regular spoiler it just happens to be in the up position.

New car from the looks of the number plate, however, the NSW police have all sorts of these promotional vehicles. They have a Smart as well.

Kinda liking the font. Kinda.

Maybe I'm not a Porsche purist, but I don't really have a problem with the body shape, the ride height, or the fact that it has four doors. What I have a problem with is the obscene amount of buttons, switches, and controls that Porsche insists on putting on the steering wheel and center console of these bitches. It would take me sitting in the car for 30 minutes just to figure out what the hell all of them do.

we've heard rumors from our reps (I work for a dealer) that its probable for MY2015. Top Gear magazine drove one in March and they loved it.

I have an old poster from them circa early 90s. It says: Most car companies have a sports car in their lineup. Porsche has a lineup of sports cars.
So sad they moved away from that motto.

Top Gear would not approve.

Porche? Indeed, they should only have 2 doors. Porsches on the other hand...
