The 2014 Indycar season will be five months long. If the season lasts less than six months, is it the season or the offseason?

Aren't the planning to have also an international "winter season"?

That would be awesome, but I think a lot of the drivers will be in Formula E, which will run a winter season.

they might make it a night race, they said during the race broadcast. There are plenty of lights, if not, no problem to find in the energy capital of the world.....still... it will be 99 degrees and 95% humidity at 10PM :(

I'm glad that the Iowa race is back to being a night race. I was hoping they could add some new tracks to the schedule next year, racing the road course at Indy is cool and all but I just don't see it bringing a whole lot of new fans to the table to help out the series.

Makes you really wonder about the future of the series.

That's exceptionally sad considering how great the racing has been this year (and the past few). Seems like the worse the series' future is, the better the actual racing.
