So this is a thing? Numbers match the normal size plate on the rear.

Probably a custom made plate, which may or may not be legal in MD, I'm not familiar with the state law there. It was common in PA for guys with classic cars to buy old license plates that matched the year of there car and have a "personalized" current plate ordered to match it so they could run the old plate. Here in Michigan where I live now I just bought a 69 plate for my Camaro, went to the Secretary of State and wam bam thank you mam I was legit.

Anywho, Maybe an MD resident can shed some more light on this!.

MD as in Maryland? Can't say for sure, but a few dubbers I "know" from that area does get pulled over when using "Euro" plates on the front.

Yeah, Maryland. It did have pretty big wheels, so that could be it.

I'm way up north in Europe tho' mate, so it will take me some time to find out about this. But if you can't be bothered yourself I'll happily oblige with answers. It may take a few days tho', Time zones, language barriers and all that jazz :)

Hey I think you already have a pretty plausible answer! Likely someone made it themselves. I doubt the cops around here like it much.

Can't imagine the rozzers'd be pleased about a eurotag on the front no... Maryland does require a front plate right?

Hehe... Most of (if not all) Europe demands a front plate, we never see it as a problem, unless you drive an LFA or a late gen EVO that is.

Is it just the UK that will allow the sticker type front registration? I actually love the way E-types look with it...

There are companies that will make novelty euro plates that match your state/plate#

If your state requires a front plate, chances are it says it has to be issued by the state.

I don't know really. but I do think that the UK is pretty much the only place you could get away with that yeah.. And the E-type is pure Pr0n anywho, anyways and anywhere.

Yea, I did the same for my car however its not an NY plate, its just yellow like NY plates, but it does have the same number as my rear plate too. I did it cause my car has the indent for a euro plate and it looks better IMO. Its not legal but nobody looks at a wagon anyways. Also you get an idea of the taste the MB owner has with those chrome frames around the headlights...

The "CE" means there's a (Chesapeake) Bay plate on the rear (they're always 5-digits, followed by CA/CB/etc.). Even so, I'd be amazed if this was legal. Friends of mine with Subarus got ticketed for having legit front-mounted plates that bent into the lower fascia (thus rendering it less-than-perfectly visible), so they're sticklers.

Yeah, he just put his actual plate # on the front. Definitely not legal, he probably gets annoyed when he gets pulled over for it too.

Spotted in Prince Frederick, MD.

A Euro plate is not legal in MD, even if the characters matches the plate on the rear. I do know a few people who run them anyway and just keep their legal front plate in the car in case they are pulled over.

For some reason I read that as "...it'll center on the Subaru". Had to read it again, as that sure to heck isn't a Subaru!
