This is why you don't lock your brakes on landing. They flew in, but they won't be flying out anytime soon.

Also why they do the two wheels with the brakes in back on jets. Same reason why the DeltaWing is stable under braking, too.

So would they need to bring out a mechanic to get it to flying condition and then get a permit to ferry it? Would an incident like that cause to much damage to repair to flying shape in the field?

The engine is a direct drive to the prop. Engine is toast. If they were ambitious they could swap in the field, but its most likely totaled.
