Look! It's my cars bro! With less miles than mine! Haha. I should get it since mine is black as well and it would be a step toward owning every generation.... in black.
1999 Taurus SHO 40k miles. Priced to sell fast. Car is like new! Nothing wrong with it. Sat idle for 10 yrs, fixed the cylinder heads recently and now it's as good as new! Call ######## for more pictures and more info!

I think I'll stick with my '04 non-sho. Really not a fan of that nose.

thats what it sounds like to me at least, the SHO engined tauruses all had the issue of the cam gear falling off because it was pressed on.
the V8 cars needed to be bigger than 3.4L, but it is cool to say you have a v8 taurus

CP. I paid $2000 for my '99 SHO.
As someone else mentioned, the V8 SHOs had an issue with the cam sprockets coming loose, but 40k miles would be really early for that to happen, especially on a '99. Add in a couple hundred bucks for a competent welder to secure the cam sprockets on and you're golden.

Yeah I went with the cheap bodge under the assumption that I will replace the springs and struts at a later date and/or trade it in. I have a little over a year then she's paid off and I can start shopping for a car because I want one not because OMG I NEED A DIFFERENT CAR RIGHT NOW HOW WILL I GET TO WORK!??!?!?!?

The ability to change my own gears

Rear wiper
Much smaller than a Taurus
