Aesthetically I like it, but the shitty build of it turns me off.

It's funny, so many of these guys are so concerned with being "unique" that it seems that they forget to stop and ask themselves if it will also actually look good in addition to being unique. Ah well, to each their own, it's his car, not mine, just makes the tastefully modified cars look that much better in comparison anyways.

Everyone's missing the point of this.

The car is looked at as a work of art. He's creating his own masterpiece, and a damn good one at that. He's doing something different, in his own way. Just because you can't appreciate it doesn't mean its a piece of shit.

Everyone has different tastes, that's what makes the automotive culture such a great one. Some love thrashing their cars at tracks, some love sliding around (remember when drifting was seen as the stupidest thing?) some love building show cars with LCD screens instead of side mirrors and crazy paint jobs with skulls, others love building cars that ride inches off the ground, and sometimes have crazy themes (like this one, an old fighter jet). There's a video about the car in which the owner talks about his inspiration coming from old factories and military bases they have around Japan.

He took what he loves, cars, the 240, and made it his own in a really unique and special way.

I didn't say I didn't appreciate it, in fact I did state I appreciate the amount of work. I said I don't understand it. I get that its more art than car, but I still don't "get" the art of it.
