Die-cast cars at Costco tonight

I was browsing through Costco tonight, and saw in their "Christmas" section (man Xmas gets earlier every year in America, doesn't it) they had a fairly large selection of 1:18 scale die-cast cars for just under $15 each. I very nearly picked up one or two, but these are pretty good sized, and I couldn't find a Datsun 240z which is really what I'd like to have on my desk at work.

The Alfa 8C and '57 Corvette were pretty cool looking, though.

Any of you more serious die-cast car collectors have any opinion on the "Maisto" brand, or tips for a noob like me?

I picked up an 'Eleanor' at a K-Mart once; can't imagine selling it.

I really want a Williams FW14 or 15 with super detail, but I don't think they sell them anywhere.

Norev models. For about $50 (this Audi) you get an amazing model. No panel gap, carpeted floor and trunk, vinyl seats with foam bolstering, and opening everything. I love them. Also, kyosho makes some awesome ones, but they're quite expensive. Worth it, though, my Z4 has a fully-functioning retractable hardtop.

I have a collection, Maisto is a popular brand. They are good. That's also a good price as well, assuming they are 1:18 scale.

I've got a '65 Stingray on my desk.

And you can get a 240z here.

Hmm I already have both of those, but my Vette is red. I think I've had mine for at least 15 years too. I personally like Maisto. Sure, they aren't the nicest models around, but they look perfectly fine from more than a foot away. They are also pretty affordable, especially compared to super detailed brands like AutoArt.

Love this time of year. I got most of my 1/18 cars at Costco/Sams.

I recently got a Norev 2014 Mercedes GL at the Frankfurt Autoshow. I love the detail they put into their models, Its almost Kyosho/AutoArt grade.
A local hobby store has a Paudi Toyota Landcrusier for sale, everything opens (including the centre console and petrol cap) but I am wary of the quality.
