We're in Brookville, Pennsylvania (yeah I never heard of it either) where we just unloaded the contents of the trailer into the bed of the tow rig. A wheel bearing seized on the trailer, destroying the axle in the process. I have to drive the rally car to the next "decent size" town (the seat position and belts are set up for a small woman) where we'll have to find a hotel for the night. Tomorrow we go to the nearest UHaul, rent a car trailer, and use that to get the rest of the way. Hopefully our trailer will be fixed by next week when I make the return journey.

When you said 'trailer', my first thought was something more like this:
Yours is a bit big just to flip onto its side :)

The previous reply in my notifications was about LS engine swaps. I was confused again for a second...

Dude, that sucks. A few years ago I replaced the bearings on all of our trams, 8 bearings per tram for 10 trams, I can definitely sympathize for how it feels to have one fail.
Best of luck to you guys.

Damn! You're almost exactly half-way between me (in Michigan) and my friend (Just outside Philly)... so I can't be of any help.

You rally a Yaris? There is something inherently awesome in that.

Pfft, the trailer doesn't need wheels. That's what torque is for.

Where in Michigan?

Troy, 10 minutes from where you'll be in Birmingham. I just moved back from the philly area.

Damn shame it's not closer to me, I'd help you out! As it stands, that's a 3:30 trip from where I live

Maintenance is even more important on trailers. They sit and then are asked to carry big loads.

I had this happen a while back. Got those self-oiling hubs and top them off each time I head to the track. Haven't had a problem since.
Great, now that I said that, I'm going to have a problem.
