"Tjosan, danskjävlar!"

It's hilarious because it's true.

That was actually 100% correct other than the lack of capital letters and a punctuation mark at the end.

I believe something like "Fuck you, danish bastards!"

"Tjosan!" is actually more like "Yo!" although "Tjo!" is more common in the majority of Sweden while "Tjosan!" is common in Gothenburg.

Literally it would be "Yo, Danish bastards!" but the humor is somewhat lost in translation. "Danskjävlar" works a lot better in Swedish since you can't put words together like that in English and because it's a common (but mostly lighthearted) exclamation (there's a sort of lighthearted animosity between the Scandinavian nations, particularly Sweden and Denmark).

"Tjosan" is also an odd variation of the more common "Tjo" that according to Wikipedia is more common in Gothenburg (whether that is true or not I'm not really sure). To me it's just a sillier way of saying it.

Writing from my iTablet. Caps and punctuation marks = bleh :P And I SHOULD be able to write swedish, I'm born and raised about 70km from the swedish border :P

The whole "animosity" amongst us Scandinavian "Brethren" could easily be misunderstood by people who don't live here. We talk smack about "the other ones" all the time, but actually we get along rather well don't we? :)

Yeah that's why I wrote "lighthearted animosity" since it's mostly just jokes.

Jepp.. We do throw jokes around, but the swedes (in the western part of sweden that is) depends rather much on us "norrbaggar" shopping all our booze and stuff in sweden :P And I'm guessing it's the same for the danes right across the brigde when it comes to the swedes living in the Skåne (Scania) area.
