Better than Villeneuve, Hakkinen and er... Schumacher? Why do you think so? Or do you mean best British driver?

Damon made his debut at age 32 due to lack of funds and exposure. Yet he won a championship, and would have won two had Schumacher not crashed into him in '94. He was totally under-rated, as was Graham. Maybe not outright better than Schumi, but I could never swallow his by any means methods

Ah, understood. "Best" is of course a subjective term, and your definition is as good as anyone else's.

Cheers. I was specifically asked to write an article titled XXX - The best driver of my generation for Autosport. There are 14 of us doing the same. I thought I would get in first with Damon. There would be lots of being doing Schumacher and Senna. I never really rated Villeneuve but Hakkinen was a firm favourite, after Hill!
