It's been nearly an hour since the last post, so have some shiny Corvette innards from the mini car show I went to yesterday. (Side note: this corvette had Lambo doors and generally made me sad.)

Typical corvette you see at a car show, slathered with chrome and other tacky shit

Was the owner qualified to join AARP?

My first response was "...if they can afford all of that bling, why is it only an LS1? No LSX 454 or 427?"

If the dream is a stock engine with a metric ton of chrome crap weighing it down then I guess so.

I'm sure they got that off some corvette store for not that much money. Besides, this is the kind of person who doesn't do over 2500rpm. Base C5 car I'm sure, with a 4spd auto.

Show cars are about getting attention.

Train wrecks get lots of attention.

This is my favorite piece. It illustrates the addiction.

edit: Dammit, that's not what I clicked on. I have no idea how to fix this.

The little chrome plates stuck to the small angled surface just above and inboard the hood struts. That's what I'm talking about.
