My fricking neighbor just weed whacked and then used a leaf blower to spread several hundred if not thousand Goathead seeds into my yard. I had them pretty much eliminated in my yard and his yard is infested with them. Thanks, A-hole. Barrrrrggg...
How would you like to step on one of those.

Sorry to hear about that. This is why I hate having neighbors. Some are nice, others just seem to lack any regard of your personal property.

Get him back. Infest his yard as well!
Just... with actual goats.

Those goatheads are TERRIBLE! Used to have a Doberman on the 4-acres I used to live on, and he was always getting them in his paws. Once he had them on two paws and was hopping on two legs to get to me to take them out. Too funny. What an inconsiderate neighbor you have. Either inconsiderate or stupid..............or both.

Probably both. I go out and walk the property (1/2 acre lot) and pull any I find on a regular basis.

They can really get big, like three feet across.

That's what he had in his yard. Monsters. I am going to take him a beer when he gets home and have a friendly chat about this.

Good luck. It's hard to say how he'll react.

He's a pretty nice guy. He probably doesn't even realize what he did. I'm just gonna ask him to let me know ahead of time next year. Maybe I can rig up some kind of barrier.

You're doing it the right way.

Go mow your lawn, and bag/mulch everything, that might pick them up.
Then get a tank sprayer and some agent orange level defoliant. At night, spray random spots in his yard, bases of trees, etc., especially whatever is causing goat seeds.
That'll teach him. Note: don't get caught, hence doing this at night.

That won't work. Where I live we don't have lawns. Mine is mostly native short grass prairie grasses and cactus and some irrigated plants which is not like a true lawn. His is rock. But it is old and the plastic barrier they put down years ago has holes in it. This allows the Goatheads to thrive. I don't think he did it on purpose, just was not paying attention to where everything was flying. I do "goathead patrols"in my yard every few days after we have any rain and pull them right away as soon as they sprout. Will have to be on "patrol" more next year. He is a good neighbor but is a musician. Artsy fartsy kinda people. No real grasp of reality. Borrows tools from me infrequently and I always have to tell him how to use them. Life in the city.
