I think I've actually become traumatized to school. Any time I try to work, or study, or do anything related to school in the least, my anxiety levels shoot up like mad until my brain's safety methods trip and I am forcibly distracted onto something else. There are also 22 empty red bull cans on my desk because my brain's OTHER great trick is to avoid danger by simply shutting down and going to sleep. I'm on enough stimulants to make a Sloth breakdance, but I can still barely stay awake.
Here's a dog.

Same here, though I'm not downing Red Bull, coffee, or 5 Hour Energy.

aa, college days.
I remember removing the grounds in my dorm room so whenever my head touch the pointy magnesium laptop casing, i'll be awake.

A roadtrip/ small vacation is what I use to stop my school anxiety. No medication ever worked... I just needed to get away for a little while like a weekend or whenever and when I got back I would be feeling so relaxed/calm with myself and my work...
Also I'm sure those 22 Redbulls aren't helping calm your anxiety. lol

My biggest gripe: BLACKBOARD.
and for not moving into a dorm, My parents nag me 24/7 to clean my room.

You do know about the links between caffeine and anxiety, right?

Definitely this. During my school terms I go for drives at night. It helps me not be too stressed. Just focusing on driving through quiet, dark, abandoned parts of town is relaxing and clears my head. You might try the same. Also, less caffeine. Trust me on that one.

Haha too funny!

It's either be too tired to get things done, or get into an anxiety -> Nausea -> anxiety feedback loop.

Caffeine doesn't stop you feeling tired, though. All the sugar in a Red Bull might, but the caffeine wakes you up without preventing tiredness.
Sounds to me that you'd be better off with a good brisk walk a mile or two round the block. If you write up an index card full of bullet points to memorise, or some such, you can even do some work while you're walking.
Hell, it can't be less effective than staring at a wall stressing, so you might as well give it a try :)

It's the mental alertness that I need. I can deal with the physical fatigue for a while.
The problem is that it's not a case of actual fatigue or tiredness. It seems to be a direct stress response to trying to get work done. As soon as I stop, I feel fine again.

"It's the mental alertness that I need."
Depending on exactly what you mean by that, caffeine may help, or may do the opposite. It shatters your concentration, for example.
Fuck, it's years since I read up on this kind of thing in any detail. It's mostly pretty straightforward biochemistry, and once you understand the interactions it's simple to self-medicate effectively.
While you're there, read up on memory retention, as well. Half an hour's reading is worth hours of actual study if you learn the basics about how to put something into long-term memory effectively. I have no idea why it's not taught as standard in school, but it really helps.

When you graduate and get a job, you'll find yourself strangely nostalgic for this time.

I have no social life, I know approximately 3 people on a campus of 45,000, the vast majority of my time is spent in a state of despair, and both my graduating and getting a job afterwards are both heavily in doubt.
Shit, I really fucking hope I don't end up nostalgic. It'll mean either my life gets even shittier or my sanity finally goes.
It's not to say I've got it that bad; I'm a lot better off than a hell of a lot of people. I just seem to be highly vulnerable to the sort of stress that school creates.

Well, if it makes you feel any better, I was friends with a lot of people in college, and now I only ever see about three of them. It's really all about quality over quantity in the real world.
I'm sorry you feel so stressed, and I wish you the best of luck in your studies.

It's not that, so much. The friends I have are wonderful people.
I just think a lot of people are thinking of parties and socialization when they talk about the fun of college, and that's just not my thing.
